Elecraft K2 HF Transceiver
$525.00

I
built my
first Elecraft K2 back in late 2000. Since then I have built three
more, some for me and some for others. I still think this is one of the
best HF CW transceivers ever built. I did not do the original build on
this one. It belonged to a friend who has since passed away. I have
gone through this one and fixed a couple of issues, done a complete
alignment, and tested it on the air. Amazing that many contacts can be
made with 5 or 10 watts and an attic dipole. This radio puts out in
excess of 10 watts on all bands. Best to run at 10 watts or below.
This radio comes with the automatic antenna tuner (KAT2), the SSB
adapter
(KSB2), the noise blanker (KNB2), and the 160 meter board (K160M). It
has the 2.03d firmware installed which includes many of the later
features. It is an early K2 (pre serial number 3000) and has not been
updated to the revision B level. It does perform very well.
There
are a few marks on the case sides and a small hole drilled in the
square plastic button for the RATE switch. No microphone included.
Microphone jack is wired for use with a Kenwood microphone such as the
MC-43, MC-60, etc.
I will include a CD with the manuals for each part of this K2. They are
also available on the Elecraft website at elecraft.com.
Please
eMail if you have
questions or desire more images. I will try to answer promptly.
